It's easy to get started on a personal property inventory
Do you have the right amount of insurance? Too many people find out after they experience a loss that they should have had higher coverage amounts on their property. Use this inventory sheet to help avoid this mistake. Make sure to add up how much it would cost to replace your belongings, and then compare it to your policy's personal property limit.

Items for a Survival Kit

The Red Cross recommends you have six basics in a Survival Kit in the event of an emergency:

  • Tools and emergency supplies
  • Special items for medical reasons

Create a Family Plan

It's crucial that you have a family disaster and evacuation plan
Your plan should include emergency numbers of family and friends in the event you are separated, a plan to evacuate pets, ensure that each family member knows how to shut off utilities in the house from the main switch and a home hazard check, among others.
